AI Chat

A natural-language security assistant - members ask questions in a channel and the AI answers, checks links, and can propose admin-approved changes.

AntiLink AI Chat turns a channel into a natural-language security assistant. After an admin sets it up, members just talk normally in that channel and the AI answers - questions about your AntiLink configuration, whether a link is safe, security recommendations, what got blocked recently, and general help. It is also a full general-purpose assistant, so it can help with everyday questions too.

It is a READ-ONLY advisor: it can explain things and propose changes, but it never applies a change, bans, mutes, or moderates on its own - a server admin must approve. AI Chat is an AntiLink Premium feature and is off by default.

Info

The AI can PROPOSE a change and show an Approve button, but nothing happens until a member with Manage Server clicks it. The AI cannot change a setting, add a whitelist entry, or take any action by itself.

Requirements

  • Your server is on AntiLink Premium.
  • The bot owner has enabled AI Chat globally.
  • An admin has completed /ai setup (picked a channel and enabled it).

If any of those is missing, AI Chat is simply inactive - it never interferes with your core link protection.

Setup

Open the setup panel - run /ai in Discord, or open the AI Settings tab in the dashboard.

Pick the AI channel (where members will chat) and a response mode.

Toggle the capabilities you want (live tools, config proposals, general chat, and more), then click Enable.

Members can now just type in that channel and the AI replies. No slash command needed.

Response modes

Mode When the AI replies
Mention or reply (default) Only when a member @mentions the bot or replies to it
Active conversation Keeps replying for a short while after it is engaged
Always respond Replies to every message in the channel (uses more of your limits)

Capabilities

  • General chat - answer any topic, not just security (on by default).
  • Live tools - the AI looks up real data instead of guessing: check a link's reputation, list your server's recent blocked links, and check your whitelist. The server-data tools are staff-only.
  • Config proposals - when an admin asks to change a protection, the AI attaches an Approve / Cancel button. Only a Manage Server admin can approve, and only a short list of reversible protection toggles can be proposed.
  • Whitelist proposals - the AI can propose adding or removing a domain from your URL whitelist, again as an admin-approved button.
  • Security explanations - clear, grounded explanations of your configuration and events.

Warning

Whitelisting a domain makes links to it bypass protection, so only approve a whitelist proposal for a domain you truly trust.

Weekly Security Digest

Turn on the Weekly digest (in AI Settings or the /ai panel) and pick a channel. Once a week, the bot posts a recap of your server's security: links blocked (with a trend vs the previous week), top blocked domains, Member Defense events, whitelist size, protection status, plus a short AI-written summary and recommendation based on the real numbers.

Info

The digest shows your protection posture (which protections are on or off), which is useful to admins but is sensitive information. Post it to a staff-only channel, not a public one.

Privacy and cost

  • Memory: the AI remembers recent messages in the channel only to keep context. Entries expire automatically and are never used to moderate anyone. Run /chat privacy for the details, or /chat reset to clear your own conversation any time.
  • No content is sold or shared. Only the text needed to answer is sent to the model provider.
  • Cost is capped. Every server has a per-user cooldown, a per-user daily limit, a server daily limit, a monthly budget, and a max-concurrent cap, all enforced so the AI can never run up unexpected usage.

Commands

Command What it does
/ai Open the AI Chat setup panel (channel, mode, capabilities, digest)
/ai status Show plan, provider, today's requests, and monthly spend
/ai usage Show this server's usage and remaining limits
/ai disable Turn AI Chat off
/ai clear-data Delete stored AI conversation data
/chat reset Clear your own conversation
/chat privacy What AI Chat stores and for how long
/chat feedback Send feedback to the server admins

AI Chat vs the scanner

The link scanner is your core, always-on protection - it blocks bad links automatically and never depends on AI Chat. AI Chat is an advisor: it explains, checks, and proposes, but a human approves any change. Turning AI Chat off has no effect on your protection.

Requirements: the bot needs View Channel, Send Messages, and Embed Links in the AI channel (and the digest channel).
