v0.1.15: bake edits

Bake Edits (Bake, Merge & Export panel) makes a model's edits permanent: erased splats are deleted, the erased originals kept for the Restore brush and the edit bookkeeping are dropped, so the model costs only its visible splats in memory and in the .blend. It asks first, since Restore can't bring back anything erased before the bake. Export is unchanged by baking (byte for byte); the brushes keep working on a baked model.

Install from Edit > Preferences > Get Extensions > ⌄ > Install from Disk.

v0.1.14: merge splat objects

Merge Splat Objects (Export panel): select several splat objects, make the anchor active, and merge them into one model exactly where they sit, then export it as one PLY with Export Splat PLY.

• Each splat's position, rotation and size is carried into the active object's space, and its view-dependent colour (higher SH bands) is rotated with it.
• Erased splats and the Restore brush's history come along.
• Models with different SH degrees or attributes are padded to match.
• The originals are hidden, kept visible or deleted (your choice in the dialog).

Fixes Blender running out of memory on large scans (millions of splats):

• The brush now frees its working copy of the scan when you leave it. Before, every brush session kept about 3 GB at 5 million splats.
• On scans over a million splats, edits no longer create Blender undo steps, each of which kept another full copy of the scan. Use the Restore brush to undo.
• Export streams to the file and stops a running brush first, so it needs little extra memory.

On a 4.9-million-splat scan, memory now levels off at about 7 GB, where before it climbed past 16 GB after a few edits.

• Spot Heal rebuilt. It no longer punches holes. Like Photoshop's spot healing brush, it now picks a matching patch nearby, clones it over the spot and matches the colour. It only replaces the surface you're looking at, so Surface/Through no longer matters. Size the brush (F) to cover the blemish.

• E S C H J B R switch to Erase, Select, Clone, Heal, Spot Heal, Bridge, Restore (the number keys still work).
• F resizes the brush interactively, like Blender's sculpt brushes; Shift+F sets the feather. Click or F confirms, Esc or right-click cancels.
• Delete / Backspace erases the selected splats.
• Starting the brush switches Solid view to Flat lighting so splats show their true colours.
• A Shortcuts subpanel lists the keys.
