First public release of RemoteOS — a local-first remote-control stack for macOS with a phone-first web client.

Installation

1. Download RemoteOS.dmg below
2. Open the DMG and drag RemoteOS to your Applications folder
3. Launch RemoteOS — it appears in your menu bar
4. Grant Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions when prompted
5. Sign in via browser to authorize your Mac
6. Scan the QR code or enter the pairing code on your phone at remoteos.app

Requirements

• macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later
• Apple Silicon or Intel Mac

Verification

The app is signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple. You can verify the checksum:

shasum -a 256 RemoteOS.dmg

Compare against SHA256SUMS.txt included in this release.
