Dummy Data Lab V1.74
Dummy Data Lab V1.74
V1.74 improves the readability and usefulness of generated test data while keeping the application self-contained and browser-local.
What's new
- Fictional names, email addresses, identifiers, places, and similar values are easier to scan and remain clearly non-production data.
- Independent mode processes fields without preserving inferred cross-field structure.
- Balanced and High match can preserve supported row-level structure when the source provides strong evidence.
- Compact previews use available width more effectively while retaining meaningful differences.
- Ragged input rows receive safer handling and clearer output-quality checks.
- Quick and Advanced keep their existing workflows, downloads, and offline privacy boundary.
Earlier releases remain available from the Releases page.
Dummy Data Lab v1.71
Dummy Data Lab V1.71
V1.71 makes Advanced easier to use across common desktop, laptop, and embedded widths. The data engine is unchanged, and everything still runs locally in the browser.
What's new
- Current setup moves below the main content when there is not enough room for a stable sidebar.
- Source and Generation settings switch to a single column before their controls become cramped.
- Input options and primary actions reflow into separate rows when needed.
- Protection mode remains readable at narrower widths and stacks naturally on smaller screens.
- Repeated mode guidance has been removed, and the short protection boundary is available from a keyboard-accessible information tooltip.
- Quick and Advanced workflows, generation behaviour, downloads, and offline operation remain unchanged.
Existing V1.70 and V1.55 releases remain available from the Releases page.
Dummy Data Lab v1.70
Dummy Data Lab V1.70
V1.70 introduces a new Quick workflow for common tasks and updates Advanced to use the same cleaner interface. Everything still runs locally in the browser.
What's new
- Quick replaces Basic and covers two common tasks: transforming an existing table and generating one new table.
- Quick includes editable People, Orders, and Support Cases templates, with support for custom columns.
- Advanced keeps its detailed controls, saved configurations, and related-table generation.
- Quick and Advanced now share the same navigation, typography, previews, and output flow.
- Date and time transformations start with a six-day, six-hour shift that can be changed before generation.
- Preview tables are more compact, and Advanced now includes Generate another version.
- Try sample data is available in both modes. Sample data is shown before analysis, and the app asks which source to use when uploaded and pasted data are both present.
Existing V1.55 releases remain available from the Releases page.

Privacy and limitations
Dummy Data Lab provides best-effort masking, sanitisation, and pseudonymisation. It is not certified anonymisation, differential privacy, or a statistical synthetic-data model. Free text, rare combinations, high-fidelity structure, and ambiguous dates can still require manual review. Use only data you are authorised to process and review generated output before sharing it.
