Release list
2.0.0
The first release of Up Next, which replaces twitch-notifications. It gathers the Twitch channels you follow, YouTube uploads and live streams, and a watch-later queue into one feed.
- A daemon keeps the feed, sends desktop notifications when something goes live and serves the feed to local apps over a Unix socket.
- The
upnextCLI covers sign-in, channels, the feed, the watch-later queue, watched items and rechecks, all through the daemon. - Twitch uses Helix and EventSub for live channels, with token refresh and recovery.
- YouTube reads channel feeds, live and upcoming streams, and subscriptions through Google sign-in, with per-channel notification settings for live streams and uploads.
- Watch later can stay in step with a YouTube playlist. Watched and saved items live in a library file you can sync.
- On first run it imports your
twitch-notificationsconfig, channels and Twitch tokens, and keeps stowed config files stowed. - The packages provide, conflict with and replace
twitch-notifications, so upgrades move across. The user service is enabled on install.
