OpenCompany v0.2.0
The Setup & Hive Conversations Upgrade
v0.2.0 brings a smoother first-run experience, sharper credential and endpoint handling, and more natural Hive conversations—so your company feels “alive” sooner. 🎉
Highlights
Setup wizard flow & first-run polish 🧭
The setup journey got a major usability pass: the wizard opens at the right moment, asks for the company name earlier, routes you into the console (not a post-build checklist), and makes smarter model choices by probing the host and selecting known models for the first company. Self-managed and managed paths now mount real credential/provider flows rather than stubs, and the key-save rebuild behavior is proven end-to-end.

Credentials, endpoints & managed search 🔐
Credential handling is more robust and more environment-aware: endpoints and key links now respect the host’s configured api_url (instead of assuming production), TinyHumans key grants round-trip back to the host’s bound port, and saving keys correctly rebuilds the runtime in place. This release also introduces a company-level credential tier to support managed search, and tightens how account state/verdicts are determined.

Hive conversations, desks & DMs 🐝
Hive got more conversational and more reliable: desks can be convened to answer questions, agent-to-agent DMs now actually work, and seat-crossing and console watching behavior were improved for better continuity. Conversations are now session-native, and desk_dm can ask a teammate and wait for the response—making multi-agent collaboration feel far more natural.

Testing, stability & developer experience 🧪
End-to-end coverage and test structure improved across setup and account flows, including clearer derived slot naming and fixtures updated for new search requirements. Test modules were moved into sibling *_tests.rs files, store notifications were isolated to reduce noise, and console tests/fields lost during the refactor were restored.

Docs, repo organization & vendor updates 📚
The repository layout was tidied (docs, deploy, companies, skills), GitBook sync support was added, and onboarding redesign roadmaps were published. Vendor dependencies were bumped (including OpenHuman / TinyHiveMind), along with runtime/tooling mappings to better handle Unsupported/NotFound tool failures.
