The Observability & Setup Reliability Upgrade

v0.2.0 → v0.2.4 sharpens OpenCompany’s production footing: better release visibility, safer provider setup, and a steadier console + CI loop. Ship it with confidence. 🎉

Highlights

Observability & release engineering 🔭

Release observability is now end-to-end: the shared crash-reporting client is initialized in the Tauri shell, artifacts (React source maps and native debug symbols) are uploaded from both hosted and desktop paths, and releases fail fast if uploads don’t complete—plus CSP and line-table tweaks to keep debugging effective in production. (#2380) — Thank you @senamakel!

Console analytics (privacy-forward) 📊

Optional OpenPanel analytics landed for the React console with careful privacy boundaries: hash-route screen views and button activations are tracked without leaking control labels, query params, or dynamic route segments, and desktop CSP + docs were updated to reflect the allowed origins and boundary. (#2377) — Thank you @senamakel!

Provider setup & connection validation 🔑

Setup is now more robust and less wasteful: TinyHumans API keys are accepted as soon as authenticated model discovery succeeds (no synthetic “spend credits to prove it works” probe), and first-run inference probing prefers deepseek/deepseek-v4-flash while preserving catalog-order fallback when needed. (#2381, #2382) — Thank you @senamakel!

Compatibility, dependencies & CI stability 🧰

This series tightens the bolts across the stack: OpenHuman tool-failure mappings were aligned to upstream variants, the OpenHuman subproject and lockfiles were refreshed to keep --locked graphs resolving, and CI/console expectations were restored (including default channel behavior and stabilized fixtures) to keep the pipeline green. (#2383, #2384, #2385) — Thank you @senamakel!

Docs & developer experience polish ✨

The README got a meaningful refresh: clearer download paths (website + latest GitHub release), an expanded “hive mind” narrative, plus star chart and contributor recognition—making it easier to onboard and understand what OpenCompany is aiming for. Also included: a small rustfmt import-order fix to keep formatting checks clean. (#2379, #2371) — Thank you @senamakel and @oxoxDev!
