Welcome to the community home for TJBot builders.
TJBot is an open-source robot kit designed by IBM Research. Its goal was to introduce students and makers to IBM's cloud-based AI services. TJBot was affectionately named after Thomas J. Watson, the first Chairman and CEO of IBM. TJBot was released to the world on November 9, 2016. Since then, it has been built and loved by thousands of people around the world. 🤖❤️🌍
In 2026, the IBM TJBot repository was forked to create this community edition of TJBot after its previous maintainers departed IBM. Our goal is to keep the TJBot ecosystem alive with expanded capabilities and up-to-date support for Raspberry Pi hardware & software.
This wiki provides all the instructions you need for setting up TJBot's hardware, software, and cloud services. Our goal is to make TJBot building easy and fun! 🦾🤖
