What's New

Frontmatter Due Inheritance

• Undated tasks now inherit due dates from YAML frontmatter (due: key by default)
• Configurable via frontmatter.due_key, frontmatter.inherit_due, and frontmatter.require_tags
• Files with a completed status (status: done) are automatically excluded from the task list

Project Tasks

• Files tagged project with a frontmatter due date appear as synthetic project tasks in the taskfile
• Project tasks sort after regular tasks with the same date (SortLast)

New Keymaps

• <C-T> — Set due date to today (taskfile and markdown buffers, supports visual mode)
• <M-C-q> — Send visual selection to quickfix (moved from global to taskfile-only)
• u / <C-r> — Undo/redo date changes in the taskfile buffer (auto-detected)

Strict Date Validation

• New strict config option for catching malformed dates during parsing
