Glass 2.2.1
Fixes
- Wi-Fi list on every Android version. Glass now detects when location is off from Android 6 onwards (it used to check only from Android 9), and tells you to turn it on: Android only returns nearby networks to apps while location is on.
- No more endless search. If the system refuses a scan or never reports back, Glass shows "No networks found" instead of "Looking for networks…" forever.
- The network you're connected to stays in the list even when a scan returns nothing.
- Glass logs why a scan failed:
adb logcat -s Glass.
Install
Download Glass-2.2.1.apk below, then follow the installation steps. Upgrading keeps your settings.
Glass 2.2
What's new
- Wi-Fi scanning on recent Android TVs. On Android 13 and later, Glass now uses the Nearby Wi-Fi devices permission, so it can list networks without location turned on. On Android 9 to 12, where the system only returns networks while location is on, the Control Center now says so instead of searching forever.
scripts/install.shgrants the new permission and turns location on.
Install
Download Glass-2.2.apk below, then follow the installation steps. Upgrading keeps your settings.
Glass 2.1
What's new

- New languages: Spanish, Portuguese (European and Brazilian) and German, in addition to English and French. Glass follows the device language.
- The Memory/Storage labels in the Control Center now fit every language.
