Release list
Rugrats Adventure Game (x64) 1.1
What's new in 1.1
- Alt+Enter skips a movie again, as in the original game. Full screen / window is now F11 (also Options > Display > Zoom).
- The Manual lists all of the original's keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+Q, Alt+R, Ctrl+Up/Down, Ctrl+M, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+Enter and Space.
- New Start menu shortcut, "Update Rugrats Adventure Game (x64)", to check for new versions.
- Updating keeps your installed game files and saved progress, and no longer needs the CD-ROM.
- Starting the game while it's already running brings the running game to the front.
- Closing the About box no longer minimizes the game in full screen.
- The README links to the project's GitHub and SourceForge pages.
Updating from 1.0
Just run RRATADV64_1.1.EXE. It replaces 1.0 automatically and reuses your installed game, with no disc needed. From 1.1 on, you can check for future versions with the "Update" shortcut in the Start menu.
The installer isn't code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway.

Rugrats Adventure Game (x64) 1.0
The first release of the unofficial 64-bit Windows port of Rugrats Adventure Game (1998).
It runs the game's own scripts, art, movies and sounds from your original CD-ROM, so it plays
exactly like the original, without the 16-bit installer, QuickTime 3, DirectX 5 or 256-color mode.
Requirements
- Windows 10 (version 1607 or later) or Windows 11, 64-bit
- Your original Rugrats Adventure Game CD-ROM (or a folder/ISO copied from it)
- About 1.2 GB of free disk space
Installing
- Download
RRATADV64.EXEand run it. - The installer finds the game disc automatically (or use Browse), copies the game's files and
prepares the movies and sounds. The disc isn't needed after that. - Approve the Windows prompt when you click Install.
The installer isn't code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC".
Click More info, then Run anyway.
Highlights
- Native 64-bit, Direct3D 11 (with Direct3D 9, OpenGL and software fallbacks)
- Full screen, borderless or windowed (Alt+Enter), sharp 4:3 scaling with no color-mode switch
- Per-user saves and settings, smooth refresh-rate-aware panning
- The original menus and shortcuts, including Ctrl+Enter to stop a movie
See the README for controls, command-line switches and everything that differs from the original.
