Privacy Policy for inTouch

Last updated: February 10, 2025

Overview

inTouch is a personal relationship management app that helps you stay connected with the people in your life. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data inTouch accesses, how it is stored, and what is shared.

Data Collection

inTouch does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with the developer or any third parties.

All data you enter into inTouch — including contact names, phone numbers, email addresses, photos, notes, relationship details, and interaction history — is stored entirely on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced privately to your personal iCloud account.

Data Stored on Your Device

inTouch stores the following data locally on your device:

  • Contact information you enter manually or import from your phone's address book (names, phone numbers, email addresses, photos, occupation, and notes)
  • Relationship data including connection types, directionality, and notes about connections between your contacts
  • Interaction history that you log (dates, methods of contact, and notes)
  • Reminder settings including reminder intervals and notification preferences
  • App preferences including theme selection, notification time, and contact sorting order

Phone Contacts Access

inTouch requests access to your phone's Contacts only when you choose to import a contact. This access is used solely to read the selected contact's name, phone number, email, occupation, and photo so you can add them to inTouch. inTouch does not read your entire address book, does not upload contact data to any server, and does not access contacts in the background.

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, inTouch uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data across your devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. The developer of inTouch does not have access to your iCloud data.

Notifications

inTouch sends local notifications to remind you to reach out to your contacts. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and are not sent through any external server. You can control notification timing in the app's settings or disable notifications through your device's system settings.

Analytics and Tracking

inTouch does not include any analytics frameworks, crash reporters, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools. No usage data, device information, or behavioral data is collected or transmitted.

Third-Party Services

inTouch does not use any third-party services, APIs, or SDKs that collect user data.

Children's Privacy

inTouch does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not include any age-gated content.

Data Deletion

All your data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account. To delete your data:

  • Delete individual contacts, connections, or history entries within the app
  • Delete the app from your device to remove all local data
  • Manage your iCloud storage through your device's Settings to remove synced data

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
