Computational Tools for Physics

CTP-Colliding-Blocks-in-mathematica

This is a credit project for a Computational Tools for Physics class in the year 2023/2024. Taught under supervision of Mr. Kacper Topolnicki.

About

This project is based on Grant Sanderson's video and paper about calulating the PI by counting the perfectly elastic collisions:

The project itself is implemented using Wolfram Mathematica Language, with additional use of FFmpeg codec. In order to setup the project you should install FFmpeg first.

We provides presentation based on paper mentioned above, but it is really a simplified version translated to polish, so you shouldn't really relay on it instead just read Grant's paper.

License

MIT - feel free to use this repo, but we'd be thankfull if you mention us in the final product. In case you are going to steal the code anyway, just to pass the classes, at least leave us a star :)
