The Japanese OSPO Local Meetups continued to be held twice a month during this quarter, bringing together about 10 practitioners each from multiple industries to discuss OSPO.

Discussions began with identifying the desired OSS maturity level (Consumer, Participant, Contributor, Leader) for different industries. The group then explored business outcomes of OSS engagement, including a semiconductor vendor example where expanding and improving OSS platform support helps customers adopt products more easily, contributing to business growth.

One interesting discussion was on the relationship between the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and OSPOs. While security and compliance teams typically lead CRA activities, participants discussed the need for OSPO involvement because implementation approaches are being shaped through Open Source community discussions.
