SecureEdgePlatform v1.0 — Unified Edge Simulation Platform

Overview

This first stable release delivers the complete SecureEdgePlatform architecture — unifying secure boot simulation, real-time sensor scheduling, telemetry publishing, and modular data logging into one cohesive edge-computing framework.

Highlights

  • Secure Boot Phase — validated firmware signature and boot sequence simulation.
  • Sensor Scheduler — deterministic, real-time sampling loop with configurable periods.
  • EdgeGateway — multi-channel telemetry fan-out (console, file, agent).
  • EdgeAgent — in-memory buffering and MiniDB persistence for telemetry logs.
  • Interactive Shells — PlatformShell for system control and EdgeShell for sensor-level injection.
  • Integration Tests — test_full_platform.cpp covers end-to-end data flow and concurrency safety.

Modules

  • SecureEdgePlatformRunner: entry point binary providing a unified REPL interface.
  • SecureEdgePlatformController: orchestrates secure boot and EdgeGateway lifecycle.
  • EdgeGateway: handles scheduling, telemetry routing, and agent integration.
  • SensorSimulator: supports sensor emulation, fault injection, and CLI commands.
  • EdgeAgent: buffers and flushes telemetry data to console or file.
  • CppMiniDB: lightweight in-memory/disk database for structured logging.

Status

  • Builds cleanly on macOS (Apple Clang 15) and Linux (GCC 13).
  • All Catch2 tests pass (ctest --test-dir build --output-on-failure).
  • Verified interactive control through SecureEdgePlatformRunner.
