Gon 2.27.0
Gon 2.27.0 is the first stable Gon release. It extends Go's compiler directly while preserving .go files, modules, standard APIs and per-project toolchain selection alongside ordinary Go.
The release includes error propagation and context, native optional values, exhaustive matching and enums, lambdas, safe navigation/coalescing, conditional expressions and named arguments. Additions include alternative patterns, is tests, string interpolation, gon/seq, opt-in NilAway, native optional JSON/SQL support and strict SQL struct scanning.
Download the archive for macOS arm64/amd64, Linux arm64/amd64 or Windows amd64, plus gon-0.1.0.vsix for VS Code. Verify downloads against SHA256SUMS; each toolchain includes GON_RELEASE.json with its exact source commit and compiler hash. The VSIX fixes a configuration-change race that could report “Starting server failed”.

- Historical benchmark report and measurement limits
All 16 complete validation profiles passed on native macOS arm64 against unmodified Go 1.27.1. PostgreSQL optionals and string enums passed with pgx stdlib/libpq; js/wasm passed 68 executed checks. CI also executes Linux amd64, Windows amd64, WASI and js/wasm, and riscv64 under QEMU user-mode emulation. Each downloadable archive is extracted and executes Go/Gon pairs on its native build host. Docker images are tested on native Linux amd64/arm64 before stable version tags are published.
Supported architectures are amd64, arm64, riscv64 and wasm; riscv64/wasm have compiler targets but no standalone host archive in this release. Go 1.27+ compatibility includes the documented newline-after-prefix-! exception. gon version reports underlying Go development provenance; GON_RELEASE.json identifies Gon 2.27.0. The VS Code extension is published as Gon (gon-lang.gon); the release includes the same VSIX for manual installation. Timed benchmarks retain their historical source scope and are not measurements of these release binaries.
