Cam Stream can now record and stream the Omarchy desktop directly—no OBS scene required.

Highlights

  • Record a full screen, window, or freeform region from the Quattro bar.
  • Stream to X Live Studio or any custom RTMP(S) destination.
  • Keep stream keys in the desktop keyring; they are never written to Cam Stream config or logs.
  • Save a local copy by default while streaming, then remux it to MP4 without re-encoding.
  • Move and resize the independent camera window live, just like any other Omarchy window.
  • Choose and remember capture, audio, quality, destination, and local-copy settings.
  • Pause and resume recordings without surrendering process ownership.
  • Refuse to interfere with an unrelated GPU Screen Recorder session.

The unified Camera / Record / Live Stream panel is built for Omarchy Quattro. Existing plugin users can update with:

omarchy plugin update io.github.tomdavenport.cam-stream
