Do this first: reinstall the gen2 fork from the Settings menu and restart the console.

Gen2 no longer wipes your cheats

Attaching gen2 used to reset CheatVM: your cheat list, toggles, and every frozen address were cleared and re-read from the SD card. Now all of it survives both attach and detach untouched, and your cheats keep running while a capture is in progress.
Important: If you set a breakpoint on an instruction that one of your enabled cheats writes to, CheatVM will overwrite the breakpoint within a tenth of a second. The breakpoint will never be hit unless it triggers almost immediately.

The reset that used to happen automatically is now available as a button in the cheat menu.
It asks for confirmation twice. The first press explains what will be lost (frozen addresses and unsaved cheat edits); the second press performs the reset and reports how many cheats were restored.
