Device Applications Overview

Use DeviceAppsAPI to manage applications already supported by the connected device.

What You Can Do

• Read deviceApps, an optional array of NSNumber values wrapping DeviceApp raw values.
• Start or stop one device application.
• Stop all running applications and return to the device home screen.
• Query the current foreground application.

The API does not install, uninstall, update, configure permissions, or return app icons and versions. Display metadata such as localized names and icons belongs to the host app.
