Remote Camera Overview

Remote Camera is an event-and-response workflow. The connected device sends a RemoteShutterEvent to the app; the app enters its local camera UI or captures a photo, then reports a RemoteShutterState through DeviceRemoteShutterAPI.

Event Flow

Device event App responsibility State to report
.enter Request camera permission, prepare the capture session, and show the camera UI. .enteredPhotoMode or .exitedOrUnableToEnter
.capture Capture a photo with the app camera. .photoSuccess or .photoFailed
.exit Stop capture and leave the camera UI. .exitedOrUnableToEnter
.unknown Ignore unsupported input safely. None unless your device contract requires it.

This API does not provide a method that makes the device camera take a photo. The app is responsible for its own camera implementation and permissions.
