Release list
AudioLink 0.2.1 preview — bus return fader and both installers
AudioLink 0.2.1 preview — one channel, bus return fader, both installers
The release contains the Receiver installer, OBS sender installer, and a
combined portable ZIP with both apps in separate folders. Use the receiver on
the VoiceMeeter PC and the OBS sender on the OBS PC. OBS is not required on the receiver PC.
Changes
- Callback now says Pick one channel only and uses radio buttons. Choose one
input strip OR one A bus. Potato offers In 1–In 8 / A1–A5; Banana In 1–In 5 / A1–A3. - Bus return level adjusts only AudioLink's return, from 0 dB down to mute.
Changes apply live, with a smooth transition and no reconnect. Other bus audio
remains unchanged. The setting is saved and retained by tray Refresh. - The matching OBS sender reports Callback output and its processed frame count
instead of displaying VBAN-only status for that mode. - Existing OBS senders still work. Pairing and the network protocol are unchanged.
Updating
Choose Shut down in the receiver tray menu before installing. Close OBS before
running the sender installer and select the OBS root folder containing bin/64bit/obs64.exe.
Pairing and VBAN settings are retained. If several callback destinations were saved
in 0.2.0, select one channel again and press Start / apply. The bus fader works
immediately; changes to the destination or output mode still require Start / apply.
The installers are unsigned. SHA-256 checksums are included. Automated checks cover
single-channel routing, return-only gain and mute, settings migration, transport,
OBS sender compatibility, and isolated installer payloads. Live callback listening
and final device routing still need confirmation on the target PC.
Receiver 0.2.0 preview — VoiceMeeter callback routing
Receiver 0.2.0 preview — direct VoiceMeeter output
This update is for the Windows receiver only. Keep your existing AudioLink OBS
plugin, pairing code and TCP port. OBS plugins 0.1.0 and 0.1.1 remain compatible.
- New VBAN / Callback output tabs.
- Callback detects the running VoiceMeeter edition. Choose Input strips or
Output buses (A), then tick one, several or all destinations. - Potato: In 1–In 8 / A1–A5. Banana: In 1–In 5 / A1–A3.
- Standard: In 1–In 3 / its shared A bus. B buses are excluded.
- Return mixes with existing audio. Different OBS/VoiceMeeter rates are converted.
- Close-to-tray, tray refresh, saved pairing and the 60 Hz meter remain.
Choose Shut down in the old receiver's tray menu before installing. Run the
setup EXE, or extract the portable ZIP and keep its receiver folder together.
Pairing and saved VBAN settings are retained. Start VoiceMeeter, choose Callback,
Detect, select destinations and press Start / apply. Check VoiceMeeter's meters
and headphones/speakers. After an engine restart use tray Refresh / reconnect.
Selecting the tab alone does not apply it. An occupied callback is reported with
its owner; AudioLink does not take it over. Switch back to VBAN with Start / apply.
The installer is unsigned. SHA-256 checksums accompany the downloads. Automated
tests cover simulated callbacks, actual TLS transport, rate conversion, all channel
mappings, preservation, mode switching, UI/tray behavior and OBS/VBAN regressions.
Live callback listening on the target VoiceMeeter PC still needs confirmation.
Setup and troubleshooting: Callback guide.
New OBS installations can use the existing 0.1.1 plugin.
Elka AudioLink 0.1.1 Preview
Elka AudioLink sends the OBS monitor/headphone mix to another Windows PC over an
encrypted TCP connection. Its small receiver delivers the audio as local VBAN to
VoiceMeeter. This is the first public preview for testing.
Download the part for each PC
- OBS PC:
elka-audiolink-obs-0.1.1-windows-x64-setup.exe - VoiceMeeter PC:
elka-audiolink-receiver-0.1.1-windows-x64-setup.exe - Manual installation:
elka-audiolink-0.1.1-windows-x64-portable.zipcontains both parts. SHA256SUMS-v0.1.1.txtcontains checksums for these three downloads.
Windows 10/11 x64 is required. The sending PC needs OBS 31.1.1 or later; OBS is not
needed on the receiving PC. Install VoiceMeeter separately. These preview
installers are unsigned. The Source code archives are for developers.

First test and troubleshooting
- Open the receiver on the VoiceMeeter PC and copy its pairing code privately to
the OBS operator. - Open Tools → Elka AudioLink in OBS. Discover the receiver or enter its LAN
address and TCP port45991, paste the code, and connect. - Enable monitoring for the OBS sources to send.
- In VoiceMeeter, select the detected
AudioLinkincoming stream, switch it on,
and choose its destination input strip. Defaults: sender127.0.0.1, UDP6980. - Route that strip to your listening output and check both its meter and the sound.
Included
- Encrypted TCP audio with receiver pairing, reconnect, LAN discovery, and manual addressing.
- Stereo PCM24 audio from the OBS monitor mix.
- Close-to-tray reception with Open settings, Refresh / reconnect, and Shut down.
- Responsive stereo dBFS meter at approximately 60 Hz while visible, with peak hold.
- Receiver counters for incoming packets, local VBAN sends, UDP errors, and buffering.
Users of the local 0.1.0 preview can update only the receiver for the tray and meter
changes. Exit the old receiver before installing; pairing and settings are retained.
The 0.1.0 OBS sender remains compatible.
Test status and limits
The local operator reports that it is working. Four automated integration tests
passed, covering transport, OBS monitoring, the actual plugin, and tray/meter
lifecycle. The plugin was also exercised with OBS 32.2.1, and the receiver installer
was checked in an isolated folder. Further testing on other PCs is welcome.
Windows networking and firewall rules still apply. Discovery is local-subnet only;
there is no internet relay or automatic NAT traversal. TCP retransmissions can add
latency. Successful local VBAN sends do not by themselves confirm VoiceMeeter
playback. See the test guide to check the complete route.
