Spaces 1.3.0: Cursor, lighter on CPU

Choose a tag to compare

@tornikegomareli tornikegomareli released this 08 Oct 23:45

Agent status for Cursor, a much lighter bar while agents work, and better titles and icons.

New in 1.3

  • Cursor. Cursor windows, and terminals running cursor-agent, get a spinner while the agent works and a check mark when it stops. Register ~/.config/omarchy/plugins/tornikegomareli.spaces/hooks/cursor-reporter.js in ~/.cursor/hooks.json; the README has the exact block. Needs Node.js. Thanks @FarzadHayat (#5).
  • Lighter on CPU. The agent spinner, the waiting pulse and the urgent glow no longer redraw the whole bar every frame. One working agent used to take the shell from about 1% to 19% CPU on a 144 Hz monitor; they now step a few times a second.

Fixed

  • One badge per window. Terminals that run every window in one process, like Ghostty in single-instance mode, showed an agent's badge on all of their windows. It now stays on the window the turn started in. Thanks @FarzadHayat (#22).
  • Emoji and CJK titles. Long titles no longer cut an emoji or an accented letter in half, and Korean, Japanese and Chinese characters count double toward the title length. Thanks @seunghan91 (#17).
  • Sharper icons at scale 1 and 2. Fractional scales such as 1.25 are unchanged. Thanks @imranZERO (#19).

Spaces 1.2.0: oh-my-pi, pill background, sharper icons

Choose a tag to compare

@tornikegomareli tornikegomareli released this 01 Oct 20:22

Agent status for oh-my-pi, a quieter look, sharper icons, and a security fix.

New in 1.2

  • oh-my-pi. Terminals running omp get the same spinner, !, and check mark as Claude Code and OpenCode. Add one line to ~/.omp/agent/config.yml:
    extensions:
      - ~/.config/omarchy/plugins/tornikegomareli.spaces/hooks/omp-extension.js
    Thanks @a-lang (#14).
  • Pill background setting. Turn it off under Appearance to drop the faint fill behind workspaces. The active workspace keeps its highlight. Thanks @tseluka (#1).
  • Sharper icons. App icons are crisper, especially in monochrome. An app with no icon now shows the first letter of its own name, not a shared prefix like org.. Thanks @Natetgmaxwell (#10).

Fixed

  • A workspace that shows a single icon no longer highlights it as focused. Thanks @tseluka (#12, #13).
  • Security: window titles render as plain text. Apps and web pages set their own titles, and markup in one could make the shell load remote images. Reported by the Omarchy marketplace review.

Spaces 1.1.0: settings pages and OpenCode

Choose a tag to compare

@tornikegomareli tornikegomareli released this 29 Sep 06:25

Settings in pages, agent status for OpenCode, and fixes from the community.

New in 1.1

  • Settings in pages. App icons, Windows, Appearance, Workspaces, Previews, and Behaviour each get their own page. Every page fits without scrolling, it all works from the keyboard, and resetting asks first. Thanks @tcballard (#8).
  • OpenCode. Terminals running OpenCode get the same spinner, !, and check mark as Claude Code. Link the reporter once:
    mkdir -p ~/.config/opencode/plugins
    ln -sfn ~/.config/omarchy/plugins/tornikegomareli.spaces/hooks/opencode-plugin.js ~/.config/opencode/plugins/spaces.js
    Thanks @FarzadHayat (#4).
  • Badges clean up after crashes. If an agent dies without saying goodbye, its badge clears within a minute. Thanks @FarzadHayat (#3).
  • Portrait monitors. Previews fit rotated and portrait screens. Thanks @VulpesZerda27 (#6).

Fixed

  • Changing the animation speed, or turning animations off and on, no longer hides every workspace pill. Reported by @movshuri, fixed by @Coding-Sparrow (#9).

Changed

  • The settings gear is off by default. Right-click the widget to open settings, or turn the gear back on under Appearance → Settings button.

Spaces 0.3.0: agent status

Choose a tag to compare

@tornikegomareli tornikegomareli released this 25 Sep 23:35

See what your coding agents are doing from the bar.

  • Agent status. Terminals running Claude Code show a spinner while the agent works, a pulsing ! when it needs your input, and a check mark when it is done. The check mark clears once you look at that window.
  • A workspace with an agent waiting on you pulses, so you know where to go.
  • hooks/claude-hook reports state over shell IPC. No state files, no polling. See the README for the hooks to add to ~/.claude/settings.json.
  • Other agents can report with omarchy-shell insanearts.spaces agent <session> <state> <pids>.
  • Setting to turn agent status off.

Update with omarchy plugin update insanearts.spaces.

Choose a tag to compare

@tornikegomareli tornikegomareli released this 25 Sep 23:28

Hover another workspace to see it live.

  • Live workspace previews. A miniature of the workspace, each window where it really is on screen. Click a window to jump to it.
  • The preview slides between workspaces as you move along the bar.
  • Hovering an app icon highlights its window in the preview.
  • peek command to open a preview from a keybinding: omarchy-shell insanearts.spaces peek 3
  • Settings: previews on or off, preview size, live video or a still frame.
  • Icons for apps with reverse-DNS ids, such as dev.example.tool.
  • Fix: workspaces could stay half faded after appearing.

Update with omarchy plugin update insanearts.spaces.
