First public VSIX release of the Tokimeter dashboard extension for VS Code-compatible editors.

Install

  1. Download tokimeter-vscode-0.1.0.vsix below.
  2. In VS Code, run Extensions: Install from VSIX… from the Command Palette and select the downloaded file.
  3. Install and configure the local Tokimeter CLI:
npm install -g tokimeter
"$(npm prefix -g)/bin/tokimeter" setup --auto
  1. Run Tokimeter: Show Cost Dashboard from the Command Palette.

Requires VS Code 1.85 or newer.

Privacy

The extension reads usage metadata from the local Tokimeter proxy. It does not retain or transmit terminal output. When optional thinking tips are enabled, terminal output is checked transiently for local activity markers; disable tokimeter.showTipsDuringWait to turn off that check.
