v0.8.49 — a radio stream the speaker drops by itself is started again
When a speaker loses a running custom-stream station by itself, SixBack now selects it again.
While a custom-stream station is playing, a SoundTouch speaker occasionally re-registers its presets and sources on its own and loses the stream in the process. It then stays silent — on a SoundTouch 10 the right LED turns orange — until the station is selected again. This has been seen in the field and on a SoundTouch 10 with firmware 27.0.6; what triggers it is not known.
What changed:
- SixBack watches for such a drop and selects the same station again once the speaker has settled. In tests the silence lasted about 10 seconds.
- It stays out of it when the speaker was switched off, stopped or paused, moved to another source or station, or is part of a multiroom group.
- It gives up after two attempts, and after four rescues within 30 minutes, so a station that is really gone is not retried forever.
- TuneIn stations are not covered.
Verified on a SoundTouch 10 with firmware 27.0.6.
Applies to the ESP32-S3 builds (the watcher needs PSRAM). No partition changes — this release can be installed over the air.
