Polish release. Everything here was found by running the product rather than reading it.

Fixed

  • install.sh started two copies. The LaunchAgent starts Tokease on load, and the script then offered to start it again: answering yes to both put two identical icons in the menu bar, and the second one survived Quit. The prompt is now only offered when auto-start was declined.
  • Removed the "Sponsor / Donate" menu item. GitHub Sponsors isn't set up, so it redirected to a bare profile.
  • The Support submenu now shows the version, so a bug report can say which build it is.

Docs

  • CONTRIBUTING.md and the PR template no longer ask for ruff format ., which would have turned a contributor's first PR into a 1124-line reformat. Lint stays ruff check.
  • Version is consistent across the app bundle, the landing page and the tag.
  • CHANGELOG documents v1.0.1 and v1.0.2.

Install

brew install tpatrouillat/tap/tokease
brew services start tokease

Requires macOS 12 Monterey or later and a Claude Pro or Max plan. Zero config if the Claude desktop app is running. MIT.
