FFmpeg shared builds — 172 archives — built via BtbN/FFmpeg-Builds with a custom overlay adding GPLv2 / LGPLv2.1 variants. NuGet packages wrapping these binaries are on nuget.org.

Matrix — 172 builds

  • Versions (9): 8.1, 8.0, 7.1, 7.0, 6.1, 6.0, 5.1, 5.0, 4.4
  • Licenses (4): lgpl (LGPLv3), gpl (GPLv3), gpl2 (GPLv2), lgpl2 (LGPLv2.1)
  • Platforms (5): win64, win32, winarm64 (.zip) · linux64, linuxarm64 (.tar.xz)

All are shared builds. GPLv2 / LGPLv2.1 variants have OpenSSL and its dependents (srt, libssh, libcurl, libaribcaption, pulseaudio) disabled to stay license-clean (OpenSSL 3.0 Apache-2.0 is incompatible with GPLv2/LGPLv2.1); on Linux they also drop sdl2 (no ffplay).

Not included — 8 win32 combos (compile-limited)

win32 for FFmpeg 6.1 and 5.0 fail to compile due to a Vulkan 32-bit uint64_t→pointer truncation in FFmpeg's source (vsrc_testsrc_vulkan.c on 6.1, vulkan.o on 5.0), across all 4 licenses = 8 combos. Every other version's win32 (8.1/8.0/7.1/7.0/6.0/5.1/4.4) builds fine.
