FolderSync v0.3.0

What's new

• Configure an account pair once per sync job and add any number of explicit folder A to folder B mappings.
• Run every mapping in a job with one manual sync or its existing automatic sync alarm. Multiple jobs can share the same source account without sharing configuration, status, or alarms.
• See overall and per-mapping results, including copied-message counts and errors. A failed mapping does not stop later mappings or hide their successful counts.
• Add, edit, and remove mappings in the popup; invalid or duplicate mappings are rejected when saving. The interface is available in English and German.

Upgrading from 0.2.x

Existing configurations are migrated to jobs with one mapping each. Their job IDs, sync direction, and automatic sync settings are preserved.

Verification

All 61 automated tests pass. The attached XPI was checked for archive integrity and contains manifest version 0.3.0. A live Thunderbird acceptance test has not been performed yet.

Changes

• More reliable folder resolution, including moved folders and Thunderbird MV3 metadata.
• More robust synchronization for missing or duplicate Message-IDs, with protection against concurrent runs and configuration changes during an active sync.
• Sync status now persists across background restarts, and partial failures are clearly reported.
• Consistent auto-sync configuration and alarm handling with strict interval validation.
• Fewer unnecessary folder queries, no sensitive production logging, and an improved delete confirmation in the popup.

The attached XPI can be installed directly through Thunderbird's Add-ons Manager.

Sync Log

• Every synchronization is now fully logged: start, copy errors, and completion summary
• Up to 200 entries are stored per sync task (persisted across restarts)
• New "Log" button on each sync card — opens the log view

• Log can be manually cleared

Version in Header

• The popup header now shows version and build number (e.g. v0.2.0 (Build 2))
• The build number increments automatically on every ./build.sh run

Technical

• Logs are stored per sync ID in messenger.storage.local (syncLog_)
• Deleting a sync task also deletes its associated log
