MiniBrowser v1.0

The problem nobody talks about

You open Chrome. Then three more tabs. Then a Notion doc. Then Slack. Your MacBook Air fans kick in. Activity Monitor says Chrome is using 8.2 GB of RAM. Your cursor stutters. You close Chrome, reopen it, and wait 45 seconds for everything to reload -- only to watch Chrome immediately re-consume 6 GB.

This is the normal, daily experience of using a browser in 2026.

How this started

In early 2026, Sandeep Ghosh -- founder of Trendzza, Head of Marketing at SkillCircle, and Onboarding Funnel Manager at Etsy -- was running four browser windows simultaneously across three roles. His MacBook Pro (M2, 16 GB) was running at 14.3 GB of memory pressure. Fans at full speed. Not from video editing. Not from compiling code. From a browser.

"I spent 10 years building growth systems for brands, and I realized I was spending 30 minutes a day just waiting for my browser to stop stuttering. That is 180 hours a year. For a browser."

He built MiniBrowser.

What it does

  • Ultra-low RAM: 0.8-1.5 GB for 20 tabs (Chrome uses 6-10 GB)
  • Pre-warmed WebKit: first tab loads in less than 0.3s (Chrome cold-starts in 1-3s)
  • Network-layer ad/tracker blocking: ads blocked before they download
  • Tab hibernation: background tabs freeze to 0 MB
  • Session restore: pick up where you left off
  • Developer tools: Web Inspector, UA switching, localhost dev-server discovery
  • Universal binary: arm64 + x86_64, macOS 11.0+
