CHANGES

What's Changed

Full Changelog: v0.8.6...v0.9

eI Closer Card

Adds "assist" mode where adjacent cards to the one selected will also be selected if needed and not already selected, and if any card is selected in this way and the card typed is NOT in the quest, then it is NOT selected (i.e. if EX MS is the quest, you can select NH and it will automatically fix itself.)
This adjacency by default is direct (i.e. 1 card away), but can be further modified by the following:

  • EX/rEX +1
  • uEX + 2
  • eVL/VL -1
  • rVL/uVL - 2

(note that the minimum is always 1)
this means with uEX, selecting Volatile will correctly select anything from No Hold to All-Spin.
Cards also move significantly less with eI.

KNOWN ISSUES

Hint text has significantly reduced opacity when special combos are enabled.
(This is inconsequential enough that I am not going to look at this again until after 1.0)

HOW TO PLAY

Download love2d here at https://love2d.org/ to run the .love file
Easy mode variants are selected by holding ALT and left clicking on the desired mod.
Easy "pieces" are selected by repeatedly clicking the ? by "RESET"

CURRENT IMPLEMENTATION

(All mods/pieces have names, descriptions, and icons)
eEX - Easy 100% (Complete, effectively reduces rank xp requirements, making climbing easier, pushes back fatigue by 1 minute)
eNH - Moderate Hold 100% (Complete, requires double click to deselect, disables fault from deselecting card, disables certain DP revives, reduces max quest size with rDH, halves burn damage and adds One Shot Protection)
eMS - Tidiness 100% (Complete: shuffles 1 card at beginning, and 1 more at Floor 10, decreases damage taken by 1 and increases healing by 1)
eGV - Lift 100% (Complete, gravity timer ranges from 10 to 5, does not start until first card selected. Damage timer is 25% slower when active, automatically commits FIRST quest if correct, does not commit second with DP, as designed)
eVL - Tranquility 100% (Complete, has larger gaps between cards and +1 xp gain, but no longer requires double clicking)
eDH - Salvation 100% (Complete, easier combos, disables certain DP revives)
eIN - Visible 100% (Complete, current quest immediately highlighted and flips cards, also changes mod color in quests to match appropriate position with eMS and AS)
eAS - Spin 100% (Complete, just enables keyboard controls with no downsides. Well, unless you consider "SPIN" a downside, but i feel like it's too iconic, +1 attack when B2B active)
eDP - Friend 100% (Complete, simplifies revive prompts, allows single mod quest to be "DUO," removes penalty from dead ally, subject to change)

eZ - Nightcore+ 100% (Complete, doubles passive climb speed and gravity timer, but damage timer and fatigue timer are normal speed)
eS - Slow-mo+ 100% (Complete, damage timer is 25% slower (50% with eGV), xp loss, gravity, and fatigue timers are 75% speed. Climb speed is normal.)
eJ - Glass Card 100% (Complete, replaces cards with glass variants (like normal), reduces attack by 50% but significantly buffs passive climb speed from rank. Also re-enables passive climb speed with rEX/uEX.)
eL - Slow Leak 100% (Complete, increased delay before climb speed loss, and reduces rate of climb speed loss)
eT - Transparent UI 100% (20% opacity UI elements)
eO - Transparent Card 100% (26% opacity cards, adds outline which is colored if card is required.)
eI - Closer Cards 80% (Adds "assist" mode where adjacent cards to the one selected will also be selected if needed and not already selected, and if any card is selected in this way and the card typed is NOT in the quest, then it is NOT selected (i.e. if EX MS is the quest, you can select NH and it will automatically fix itself.)
