Customizing

Everything is linked from the repo into ~/.config, so edit files in the repo.

To change Edit Then
Colours or window border theme/colors.toml omarchy theme set goat
Wallpapers add name.jpg + name-night.jpg to theme/wallpapers/ omarchy theme set goat
Folder icons the constants at the top of icons/build.py ./install.sh
Hotkeys, glass, tiling hypr/*.lua saves reload automatically
Bar layout or plugins use Omarchy as usual ./install.sh --export to save it in the repo

Make it yours

Some of goat is tuned to truenito's desk. Adjust these first:

  • Monitors: hypr/monitors.lua sets two 1920×1080 outputs, DP-1 (main) on the left and DP-2 on the right. Check your output names with hyprctl monitors all. install.sh warns when your monitors differ.
  • Workspaces: hypr/workspaces.lua puts workspace 10 on DP-1 and 2 on DP-2. See Workspaces and Hotkeys.
  • Startup layout: hypr/scripts/startup-layout.sh opens Slack, ChatGPT, Discord, Claude and Zen across both monitors at login, sized in pixels for 1920×1080. See Startup Layouts, or remove the exec_on_start line in hypr/autostart.lua to skip it.
  • Discord keys: hypr/bindings.lua maps XF86Tools to deafen and XF86Launch5 to mute. They send Ctrl + Shift + D and Ctrl + Shift + M to Discord, so set those in Discord Settings → Keybinds.

input.lua (keyboard layout, mouse) stays per-machine and isn't part of goat.
