Summary
Instagram now allows a music/audio track on multi-image feed posts and carousels,
which makes the post eligible for the Reels tab (confirmed by Meta / Adam Mosseri).
It is not surfaced in the TryPost composer. Adding it would let creators get
Reels-tab distribution without manually editing each post in the IG app.
Blocking question (must be verified before building)
Does Meta's Graph API / Content Publishing API expose audio/music on carousel
(media_type=CREATIVE / CAROUSEL_ALBUM) container creation at all? As of
writing it appears not to — the in-app music sticker may only be settable from
the native client. If the API cannot carry audio, this issue should be scoped to:
- "document the limitation + link creators to the manual in-app edit flow", or
- a TryPost notification/handoff feature (see Issue 1) so users know to add
audio in-app after auto-publish.
