  • Stop X-Plane if running.
  • Install the desired JoinFS-XPLANE.msi package.
  • Start JoinFS, enter your nickname.
  • Open the settings dialog (menu File -> Settings...).
  • Click the X-Plane group/area click the "Install plugin..." button. A new dialog will open, asking for the X-Plane root folder. Enter or browse the folder and click the "Install" button.
  • Close the joinfs settings window.

Optional steps

  • If you want to use the Bluebell models, head to https://github.com/oktal3700/bluebell and download from the link marked with dds.
  • Unzip the file.
  • Copy all the folders into XPLANE_ROOT\Resources\plugins\JoinFS\Resources\CSL\
  • Open the "Scan For Models" window (menu File -> Scan For Models...)
  • Enter the X-Plane root folder.
  • In the "Aircraft folders" list, select the folders you want joinfs to scan for models.
  • Click "Scan".
  • After a warning, that this step could take a long-ish time, joinfs will show the number of scanned models. This number is the sum of the models found in the folders and the Bluebell models if you choose to install them in the optional step.
  • Start X-Plane. Start a flight.
  • If joinfs is not set to connect automatically, connect to the simulator and if you want join a network hub (menu View -> Public Hubs).
  • Open the model matching window (menu File -> Model Matching) and setup your default models as desired.

Enjoy!
