@copilot resolve the merge conflicts in this pull request. prtty sure you can just use incoming

Resolved the merge conflicts by merging origin/develop with incoming-side preference, then restored the PR’s gutter line-selection behavior onto the incoming Gutter implementation. Validated formatting, build, targeted integration tests, Code Review, and CodeQL. Addressed in 1fd936c.
