TextView ghosting when moving cursor

Hello,

I'm having trouble with TextView. Is seems when I move cursor with keyboard it leaves ghosting behind, but after refreshing it seems to be gone. It might be an issue from my side, because while using UI catalog problem is not present.

I'm attaching a video with this issue. I also tested on latest develop and latest alpha and issue for me is present in both. (4538, 3721):

Can you try providing args null,"v2" to Init

Thank you, it works. Could you maybe explain why I need to do that while using v2 already ?

Sure! Historically there were 3 drivers for low level console operations (read/write etc)

• CursesDriver (default on macos and linux)
• WindowsDriver (default on windows)
• NetDriver

In v2 new drivers were written from ground up including new main loop and - ApplicationImpl stuff.

These are

• v2net (works on all os)
• v2win (works on Windows only)

And shorthand v2 for picking the right one of those based on OS

V2 Terminal.Gui currently supports all 5 drivers. The defaults are still the v1 drivers. Setting the args as you have uses the v2 drivers instead.

V2 drivers are more compatible with modern terminals and have less issues like you are seeing from old curses implementation.
