Feature: manual timetracking

I'd like to manually track my time. Is such a feature possible or too manual or feature creep?

Currently Time tracking only supports ics file or system calendar. How about just having a + button, where you select a project and add start and end with optional comment?

@aaronspring Thank you for the suggestion. I will look into it. Personally I find tracking my time in my calendar very convenient, but the project should support multiple workflows.

Just to understand your calendar approach. So you retrospectively add calendar blocks with a certain tag per project to your calendar of choice like MacOS calendar and then tuttle filters those automatically, right?

@aaronspring Exactly. Projects have tags (e.g. #myproject). Any calendar event with that tag in the title gets assigned to the project for time tracking.

I'm aware this is not self-explanatory in the app yet.

On macOS, the app can connect directly to the Calendar.app via EventKit to fetch events.

actually a nice approach without integrating a new service as everyone already uses some kind of calendar. I'll give it a try
