This final pre-1.0 maintenance release closes out the Parish Blog Sections plugin.

  • Prevents sections created in separate requests from receiving the same internal ID and replacing one another.
  • Confirms that activation starts with no predefined sections or parish-specific categories.
  • Keeps section removal non-destructive to ordinary WordPress Categories and Posts.

This pre-1.0 release provides a configurable GUI for category-backed parish editorial sections.

  • Makes Sections the main Parish Blog screen.
  • Generates filtered post-list and pre-categorized Add New shortcuts for each configured section.
  • Removes duplicate All Posts, Add New, and Categories shortcuts from the Parish Blog menu.
  • Preserves categories and posts when a section shortcut is removed.
