@tyeth tyeth released this 08 Sep 23:14

Unofficial CI test builds — not a CircuitPython release. This is a fork; these binaries are
work-in-progress firmware for reviewing #15, parked here because GitHub issues
cannot host file attachments via the API and the Actions artifacts expire 2026-12-07.

CYW43439 Bluetooth over the shared gSPI bus, built from ci/pico2w-ble-assets @ 94bfd47b5f
(the BLE stack plus a CI-only west.yml override pointing at tyeth/zephyr#1 and the HAL fork
branches — see #12, #16).

Board UF2 Flash RAM
Pico 2 W (RP2350) raspberrypi_rpi_pico2_w_zephyr-ble-ci-94bfd47.uf2 1,146,092 B = 73.25% 229,144 B = 43.03%
Pico W (RP2040) raspberrypi_rpi_pico_w_zephyr-ble-ci-94bfd47.uf2 1,181,368 B = 75.51% 228,044 B = 84.36%

Source runs: pico2w 34287512362,
picow 34287514167. Both UF2s load
from 0x10000000 with the correct family ID, so .boot2 is present (the #6 failure mode).
The .elf files are unstripped, for gdb/OpenOCD.

Caveats

  • Flashing a Pico W or Pico 2 W with this replaces whatever is on it and reformats CIRCUITPY.
  • Legacy LE scanning works and returns real advertisers; extended advertising is unavailable on this
controller and cannot be enabled host-side (#8, #9).
  • CONFIG_BT_ASSERT=y even in release builds, so a genuine controller timeout halts rather than
    raising to Python.
  • Do not measure timing on a debug.conf build — LOG_MODE_IMMEDIATE manufactures multi-second
stalls that do not exist here.
