Release list
Punchlist 0.2.0
Punchlist is the planning tool for Claude Code: capture screenshots and notes into per-project Spaces, then hand them to Claude Code one at a time over MCP.
This is the first release on Punchlist's new foundation. The app has been rebuilt, and it now updates itself. Future versions download in the background and prompt you to restart, so this is the last time you install it by hand.
Installing
Download Punchlist.dmg, open it, and drag Punchlist into your Applications folder. On first launch it connects to Claude Code for you.
Already running an older build?
Install this one once. From here on, updates are automatic.
Punchlist 0.1.5
Screenshot capture works out of the box now. Take any screenshot (⌘⇧4 / ⌘⇧5) while Punchlist is running and a small "Add to Punchlist?" panel appears — one click files it into a Space, with an optional note as the title.
- Fixed: screenshots saved to Desktop (the default) were invisible to the watcher. macOS hides protected folders from apps until access is granted, so Punchlist now asks once at launch — click Allow on the Files & Folders prompt and you're set.
- New capture panel: full-size preview of what you captured (nothing cropped), a typeable note field, and a Space picker next to the Add button.
If you're on 0.1.4, screenshot capture silently didn't work — this update fixes it. Everything else: see 0.1.4 notes (universal build for Intel + Apple Silicon).
Punchlist 0.1.4
Punchlist 0.1.3
Punchlist 0.1.3
- Anonymous usage stats. The app now sends tiny anonymous pings (app opened, item created/completed, space created, first Claude connection) to our own server so we can tell whether Punchlist is being used. No account, no names, no IP addresses stored, and never the content of your items or images — just event counts tied to a random ID. Turn it off any time in Settings (Cmd-,).
- New Settings window (Cmd-,).
Existing installs will get this automatically via the built-in updater.
Punchlist 0.1.2
Punchlist 0.1.2
A visual refresh plus a much nicer way to write items and comments.
New look
- A new, consistent design system across the whole app — warm-neutral canvas, the Punchlist orange, and the Geist typeface — applied to every screen.
Writing items & comments
- New Linear-style New Item composer with a true WYSIWYG editor — type rich text, drop in images, and they embed inline as you create the item.
- WYSIWYG editor for comments too, so replies render the same way they read.
- Richer content fields throughout: inline images, drag-and-drop, and Claude callouts render properly.
Polish & fixes
- Reworked breadcrumb navigation.
- Cleaner sidebar (dropped the per-space item count) and a clearer Create Item call-to-action.
- Fixed comments duplicating across items.
Auto-updates via Sparkle — installed copies will offer the update on their next check.
