It is a bit unfortunate that this image is duplicated. Would it be an option to have it as a top-level variable in the package…
#let background-image = image("imgs/bg.png")…that the template would then be able to import and use.
#import "@preview/touying-ist:0.1.0": background-image
// Do something with the imported image…There was a problem hiding this comment.
Done. And I removed the redundant image file.

Can you check that you are allowed to distribute this image? And specify under which license it is, and under which terms it can used, for example at the end of your README.

If this isn't an official package of the institute, could you pick another name please? It should be distinctive enough so that another package with the same purpose can be published without one of the two having an unfair advantage, and it should be clear from the name that it is community-built and not officially endorsed by the institute. See our naming rules. The touying- prefix is not considered to be distinctive.
If you want to make this an official template, to keep the current name, that's also an option. In that case a member of the institute staff should send an email to hello@typst.app stating that they officially endorse your package. In practice it means that they will accept submission of works built using it, and ideally promote it and guarantee that it will be maintained in the long term.

It's indeed a community-built typst template. Is it ok that i renamed project nametouying-ist to bluenote-ist?
