New:

  • Added a wake lock feature to avoid interruptions during language model download.
  • Added a Reset button in Settings. The Translation Model lets you wipe the model files and start a fresh download if anything gets stuck or corrupted.
  • Added a text editor screen for better text input experience.
  • The enter key on the keyboard in the text editor screen inserts a new line instead of submitting, so you can type multi-line phrases naturally. Use the back chevron or dismiss the keyboard (by swiping down, for example) and tap Done to return to the home screen. In the home screen, tap on Translate to trigger translation.
  • Auto-scroll keeps your text visible above the keyboard as you type.
  • There is a Clear button in the editor so you can start fresh without selecting all and deleting manually.
  • Clearing text in the editor also clears the translation on the home screen.
