What changed in v1.3.0

  • Home and Browse gained curated collections: twelve verified franchise packs and six 1990s rails, browsable as a Collections vertical in Browse and as a Memory Lane zone at the end of Home.
  • Every film in a pack was verified against Cinemeta before shipping, so each card resolves to the real title, year and poster, and tapping it opens the normal details screen.
  • Packs render with no network request, because posters come from the same image CDN the rest of the library uses.
  • Settings gained a TMDb API key field. The key is yours: it is stored only on this device, validated before it is saved, never logged, and no key ships with the app. With a key set, the six 1990s rails are replaced by lists ranked by real vote counts and refreshed at most once a day.
  • Clearing the key restores the built-in picks, and a TMDb that cannot be reached never leaves a rail empty.
  • The TMDb credential now has one source of truth. Precedence is the user's own key, then a build-time TMDB_API_KEY, then the inherited value as a last-resort fallback, so behaviour without a key is unchanged for the scraper lookups that already relied on it.
  • TMDb attribution, their logo plus the required notice, appears in Credits as their terms require.
  • Mouse wheel scrolling no longer changes the volume anywhere it is not the intended control. The player and the IPTV player now let a list under the pointer claim the scroll, so the subtitle panel, the episode list and the text sync view scroll without touching the volume.
  • Search works on an install whose only catalog addon is Cinemeta. The dead Cinemeta search, which answered every query with the recency list, stays removed, but each search now also asks a keyless title source and shows the matches in a Titles rail, so No results appears only when there is genuinely nothing to show.
  • Rails with no catalogue behind them no longer offer See All. On the titles rail and the CloudStream rails it opened a screen that could only come back empty.
  • The scroll track on Home and the other long lists no longer reads as a volume slider. It fades in while you scroll or hover it and is hidden while the page is idle, and Home's private copy of the widget is gone.
  • Fullscreen is no longer a one-way door. F11 toggles it from every screen, and the rail carries a fullscreen row above Settings, so exiting fullscreen no longer means navigating back to Home first.
  • Resuming from the Continue Watching tile now plays instead of dropping you into the source chooser. Provider streams that refuse the seek at open no longer count as a fatal playback error: the player tells the engine the stream is seekable, and if a source still refuses, it plays from the beginning with a one line notice rather than failing.
  • A resumed source that delivers nothing is now replaced by the next ranked candidate automatically, four attempts at most, before the chooser appears. The rescrape also waits past the scrapers' own deadline instead of cutting the candidate list short at five seconds, which used to throw away every provider that answered slowly.
  • Switching source by hand during a resumed movie continues from where you were instead of restarting the film, the same way switching source during an episode already behaved.
  • When a resume has to try more than one source, the search has its own screen instead of the player flickering between attempts: the title's logo art, Testing other sources for you, the source being tried with its attempt number, and a quiet Choose a source myself escape.
  • A resumed title now carries its real metadata, so that screen has the title's logo to show and the rescrape behind it receives the title's genres instead of an empty list.
  • Sources that look healthy but cannot play are no longer treated as good. The check behind the source search now follows an HLS stream from its playlist through to the first real media segment, so a playlist whose segments are dead, expired or refused is rejected instead of being counted as alive, and the automatic search spends its attempts on the sources that passed that test before it falls back to the rest.
