Happy to share first release of Fake08 port for PSP. It's a PICO-8 player/runtime that has much better compatibility than retro8. Sadly performance is much worse. I've taken some steps to try and optimize the core for mnips32 with mixed effect.

Unlike other ports, Frog08 delivers the libretro experience without the full RetroArch overhead, keeping things smooth and PSP-friendly.

⚠️ Please note: Fake08 is much heavier than Retro8. Thus, I recommend disabling audio for better performance.

🛠️ Installation

  1. Download the ZIP from the Releases page.
  2. Unzip and drop directly on your PSP memory stick root folder.
  3. Place your .p8 or .p8.png cartridges into the PSP/GAME/Frog08/carts folder.
  4. Launch Frog08 from your PSP’s game menu.
