Devpod has been abandoned, request for alternatives

[DarkGhostHunter]

Describe the bug

Devpod has been abandoned with the excuse of "focusing elsewhere". The most approximate FOSS alternative was Daytona, but was abandoned just days ago. This means, if there is a bug or security issue, it won't be fixed.

I'm looking for alternatives for dev-containers managers. These are what I could found, in no order. Non-GUI apps are marked with *:

• Coder, it's more like a server than just a proxy for Docker/Podman. Very feature complete. My prime choice.
• Devsy, most close spiritual successor to DevPod, also my prime choice.
• Devenv*, it's basically nix.
• Debbox*, basically nix.
• Flox*, nix.

Bluefin already ships with Podman, but doesn't solve the workspaces management.

I'm not familiar with Devpod. What was the functionality it provided for you?

I use Podman Desktop as a GUI for browsing containers/images/volumes/etc. It has a plugin system but I only use it for podman and docker.
