Replacing Adobe API

Hello,

I attended the tool's demo today, and the main pain point I heard was getting enough credits for the Adobe API.

Just wondering if you guys are looking into replacing the Adobe API with open-source tools.

Have you looked into https://github.com/opendataloader-project/opendataloader-pdf?

It says auto-tagging is coming in Q2 2026, so worth keeping tabs on.

But it appears it can be used for validation right now.

@rlorenzo extensively tested before building and nothing came close. I have seen a dozen new apps that suppose to offer auto-tagging w/o adobe in the last few months and been very disappointed. Validation is easy, lots of tools that can do that.

I'm sure at some point a competitor will come out that will handle tagging well, but i haven't seen it yet

@srkirkland Auto-tagging just landed in the opendataloader-pdf project yesterday in version v2.3.0.
