Landing page redesign. Needs a full visual transformation #4

Description

@udaycodespace

Problem

The current landing page at http://localhost:5173/ isn't good enough to ship. The hero doesn't say what LearnHub does or who it's for, the stock photo adds nothing, the course cards are flat glowing boxes with no thumbnails or details, the search/filter bar looks bolted on, and the footer is just a copyright line with no real content or trust signals.

This needs a proper redesign in one pass, not a patch job. Take creative liberty here. The goal is a landing page that looks and feels like a real product, not a template.

What to deliver

  • Hero section — clear headline + subtext that says what LearnHub is and who it's for, plus a stronger visual treatment (replace or restyle the stock photo, own color/typography system instead of default styling)
  • Trending Courses section — proper cards with thumbnails, category tags, difficulty level, and short descriptions. Should look like a real course catalog, not text-in-a-box
  • Search & filter bar — restyle to match the rest of the page, not a raw input + dropdown
  • Footer — full footer with About, Contact, Social links, and placeholder routes for Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions (structure only, mark content as "coming soon," actual legal text is a separate follow-up)
  • Overall consistency — one coherent color palette, spacing, and type scale across header, hero, and course section, no visual seams between sections

Notes for contributors

This is meant to be tackled as one cohesive redesign so the whole page feels intentional, not stitched together in pieces. Feel free to restructure components as needed. We'll open smaller follow-up issues for polish and edge cases after this lands.

/assign yourself if you're taking this on.
