Birthday appointments no longer read "Birthday: Grandma" outside the app. The title was stored in English and only translated while the page was drawn, so everything that reads the stored appointment showed English: the API, the calendar feed you subscribe to elsewhere, the sync to iCloud, Google and Nextcloud, and the search index.
Names containing a dollar sign are no longer mangled where the app writes them into a sentence. A contact called "A $& B" showed up as "A {{name}} B", and some combinations pulled a piece of the surrounding sentence into the name. Affected every screen that puts a name, title or note into a phrase - birthday appointments, assignment labels, confirmation prompts.

Settings → Personal → Appearance → Language now carries a second setting: the language Yuvomi writes into the entries it creates for you. It is separate from the language of the app itself, because a saved appointment has one wording no matter which member opens it later. Households that picked a region already get it for free - a German region means German birthday appointments, with nothing to configure. A household that never picked a region keeps the English wording it has today until someone chooses a language, so nothing changes underfoot on update.
