The advanced step is split in two, along a question rather than a number. It carried 18 decision points on one screen while the second-largest step had 12: six accordions to judge before seeing a single field, plus six loose fields underneath. It is now "Storage & backups" - where your data lives on the server and where copies of it go - followed by "Advanced", which covers what Yuvomi connects to. Both are down to six and seven points. Both are also numbered now: the advanced step used to be excluded from the step counter as an "optional collection step", which made the largest screen of the run the only one without a progress indication; there is no collection step left to justify that.
The installer groups the three home-network permissions instead of scattering them. Yuvomi refuses connections to addresses on your own network by default; three switches lift that for calendar subscriptions, recipe mirrors and a WebDAV target. They sat in three different places because they technically hang off three different fields - two loose under "More options", one inside the WebDAV accordion - even though they answer the same question. The review screen has always shown them as a single line and says why; they are now asked as a single group, with one explanation of what the protection does.
The installer reports a running container, not just an existing configuration file. The preflight already determined this with a container inspection on every run, a test asserted the field was a boolean, and the README announced it - but no line in the wizard ever read it. It matters on a re-run: saving restarts the container, so the household is briefly cut off. A guard now checks the other direction too, that every field the preflight returns is actually consumed.

The documentation now explains where backups go on a NAS, and why there is no field for it.DATA_DIR is in the setup wizard because the application never reads that name - it exists purely as a Compose substitution for the mount source. BACKUP_DIR and MODULES_DIR are read by the application itself, where they mean the directory inside the container, so a host path like ./backups in your .env resolves to /app/backups, outside the mounted volume. To put backups on an array you change the mount source, which is now documented with an example.
