v0.1.88 - Update Platform API contract (#117)
π Summary
Release v0.1.88 improves cloud project selection, adds Roboflow import metadata, and aligns the Python SDK with the updated Platform API contract.
π Key Changes
- ποΈ Cloud commands now match local YOLO project naming:
ul cloud train, predict, andexportinterpretproject=more like local training. A username before the first slash selects that workspace; the remaining path becomes the project name. Users need editor access to use another workspace. - π¦ Roboflow bulk-import candidates include more metadata: The API and Python SDK now expose task type, thumbnail URL, image count, and dataset size. Task type and dataset size are required; the task field supports the listed YOLO task types.
- π Export image-size limit is now 4096 in the API contract, down from 8192.
- π The API contract and SDK are versioned at 0.1.88, with the generated SDK kept in sync with the contract.
π― Purpose & Impact
- β Cloud runs are more likely to appear in the same project and workspace as corresponding local YOLO runs. If a workspace exists but the user lacks editor access, the request fails before files are uploaded.
- π Roboflow import metadata gives clients more information about projects before importing them.
- βοΈ SDK users get updated, typed definitions that reflect the current API, while the lower export limit makes the documented constraint clearer.
