wnc v0.4.1

A command-line interface for Cisco Catalyst 9800 Wireless Network Controllers.

In this release, only the --pretty table changed:

  • Glyph columns are centered under their headings, and text columns stay left-aligned.
  • A setting that is off, such as a disabled admin_state or WLAN status, shows ⬜ instead of ✕ or ❌.
  • ❌ marks a fault, such as an oper_state of Down or an access point that has not joined.
  • local_site in show site-tag shows ✅ or ⬜ rather than Yes or No.

Important

wnc v0.4.0

A command-line interface for Cisco Catalyst 9800 Wireless Network Controllers.

In this release, the show vocabulary changed:

  • 17 keys and 5 headings take the controller's own words, so radio_mac, wlan_profile and admin_state replace the SDK spellings in --sort-by, --columns and the JSON.
  • policy_status now reads Enabled or Disabled rather than Active or Shutdown.
  • --list-keys prints every new name, and an old name is refused with the accepted list.

wnc v0.3.0

A command-line interface for Cisco Catalyst 9800 Wireless Network Controllers.

In this release, the defaults changed:

  • The show table and JSON leave out identifiers such as addresses and serial numbers and a few wide columns, and the new --columns brings them back.
  • Six keys also dropped their unit (rssi_dbm is now rssi), --list-keys replaces --sort-keys, and show client now sorts by ap_name.
  • show ap reads each access point's coordinates, height and floor, and --dry-run now works after the subcommand.
