Improvements

  • file:// targets accept filepath globs and [[.YYYY]]/[[.MM]]/[[.DD]]/[[.YYYYMMDD]] date templates, pick the newest match and report path and match_count #57 @umputun
  • shared parseTarget for program://, file:// and cert:// targets #57 @umputun
  • ProgramProvider.WithShell removed; shell features go through an explicit interpreter, e.g. path: /bin/sh, args: ["-c", "..."] #57 @umputun

Bug Fixes

  • ?cron= no longer becomes part of the target for program://, file:// and cert:// #57 @umputun
  • file provider no longer panics and deadlocks /status when a missing file reappears #57 @umputun
  • ?args=a&args=b now yields separate argv entries instead of one joined string #57 @umputun
  • zero-byte files and directories no longer return an empty 500 #57 @umputun
  • a bad mongo count template no longer panics the process #57 @umputun
  • fixed data race on the mongo provider clock shared across services #57 @umputun
  • config marshalling no longer drops count_query, quotes args, or emits & where ? belongs #57 @umputun

Upgrade impact

Provider targets are parsed with net/url now, so encoding rules apply where they did not before:

  • a bare % in a path is invalid — file:///backups/50%_done.tar worked before and errors now
  • %20 decodes to a space instead of staying literal
  • a decoded *, ? or [ in a file:// target is glob syntax, so a filename containing one is no longer an exact path
  • a raw ? starts the query and a raw # is rejected; encode them as %3F and %23
  • a relative -s target whose first segment contains @ needs a ./ prefix

YAML path: values are escaped automatically; the rules apply to the -s URL form.
